How are we supposed to think Spring with new snow on the ground? This weekend, get the family involved with one of the greatest New Hampshire traditions.

"Maple Madness," as the New Hampshire Maple Producers call it, stretches all month. However, it really focuses on the weekend of the 24th and 25th. All over the state, sugar makers open their doors to the public to demonstrate the centuries-old craft of maple sugaring. If the kids aren't really into the education part, (I remember not being too hot on it when I was 10) most places will have a nice spread of the final result, including maple donuts. (mmmmm doooonuts) Others will offer a pancake breakfast, and you know what goes great with pancakes? Exactly.

Check ahead, but a few locations also feature petting farms and horse-drawn rides.

No matter where you are in the state, you're close to a participating location. Click on this map to find one!
