Take The Itch And Sting Out Of Horse-Fly Bites With This Remedy
This past weekend I was bitten on the finger by a gigantic horse-fly and it hurt like hell. I ran in the house screaming and crying like a 2 year old. I cleaned the affected area with soap and water, but that did nothing for the constant sting and itch.
My index finger swelled up and stiffened almost immediately after I was bitten. It was very uncomfortable and painful, I could live with it, but I wanted some relief!
My wife suggested I use a mixture of coconut oil and lavender essential oil and apply it to the area that hurts. Of course, I thought this was a crazy idea, but I did it anyway.
Wouldn't ya know it, it worked. The itching and pain subsided right away, and the swelling and stiffness dissipated shortly after.
I used this concoction a total of 3 times over 24 hours and all symptoms are gone.
So there you go, you can relieve the itch, pain, and stiffness from a horse-fly bite with a mixture of coconut oil and lavender essential oil.
Here's what it looks like when a horse-fly bites you and sucks your blood.
