The Actual Summit Of Parker Mountain In Strafford

So, I have hiked Parker Mountain in Strafford several times over the years, but I just realized I had never hiked to the actual summit!

I enjoy this hike because it's quick convenient and a good work out. Until yesterday I thought the summit was where the fire pit and open view are on the mountain, but that's not the case.

The trail continues, but I thought it led down the other side of the mountain and I wasn't sure where you would end up, so I never went the entire way.

I was WRONG.

You continue on the Spencer Smith Trail until you reach this giant cairn. This is the summit. No views, just the cairn and blueberry bushes. Great extension to the hike though!
