The Former Goodwill Store in Derry, New Hampshire, Now Houses Two Businesses
Earlier this year, back on March 31, the Goodwill Store on Manchester Road in Derry, New Hampshire closed after about a decade of service. Until recently, the massive building, part of the Pinkerton Place complex, has remained vacant with no real indication of what would be done.
After just over 7 months of closing, that location will be split into two brand new businesses, with one of them already opened and operational.
Electric Bikes of New England
Although they've been open for a long while, having operated most recently on Buttrick Road in Londonderry, New Hampshire for years, Electric Bikes of New England opened their new location on Rockingham Road in Derry in the left half of the former Goodwill Store just two weeks ago.
They posted on their Facebook page on October 24 announcing their "same great selection [and] same knowledgeable team" was officially open "in a bigger, more spacious showroom and shop."
According to their website, as of right now, Electric Bikes of New England (EBikesofNE) is "New England's only E-Bike Super Store."
New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlet
While EBikesofNE has officially taken over the left side of what used to be the Goodwill Store, the right side still remains open and vacant; however, no longer for sale or rent. Because we now know that the right side will be occupied by another New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlet location.
What's most interesting is Derry actually had its own NH Liquor & Wine Outlet location already on Manchester Road in the same plaza as the Dollar Tree and La Carreta. At some point in the last couple of years, though, without warning, the location closed.
Regardless, whether the issue was staffing or something having to do with the pandemic, which was running way more rampant and wild back then than it is now, a newer, more updated Liquor and Wine Outlet will return to Derry "coming soon," according to the sign out front of the former Goodwill Store.
