The Latest NH Seacoast House I Want To Buy But Can’t Afford
I can dream, can't I?
I'm kind of obsessed with real estate. I just love exploring Realtor and Zillow listings in between doing other things in my life. Truly, if I'm staring at my phone, chances are, I'm looking at a house or land or condo, etc.
I guess I just like to dream about the houses that I would live in if I had all the money in the world. Sometimes, I look at the listings and I think - HOW could they be asking so much money for this property, but then, I look at the pictures and I'd totally pay the money if I had it. Such is the case with a teeeny-weeeeny house at 76 Little Bay Road in Newington.
Seriously, I could live in a tent on this property. It's a bonus that it's got a house with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on it.
C'mon. Look at that view!
There is a house on this property, but I suspect if you had the money to buy this, you would probably knock this one down
Here's a description of the property according to the Zillow listing:
Spectacular .96-acre waterfront property on Little Bay with 200' of prime shore-frontage and deep-water ocean access. This is the perfect property for those who are looking for unbelievably gorgeous year-round sunsets, protected ocean access, sweeping water views, private water frontage, a generous lot size, easy access for commuting and low taxes. Newington is one of the lowest tax towns in NH. The vintage cottage on the property could be restored or removed. This opportunity is ideal for building your dream home with much of the pre-construction work already completed to include a completed shoreline protection permit, a new stone seawall, an existing conditions plan prepared by Berry Surveying and Engineering as well as a proposed conditions plan.
The listing is set for $850,000. If I make an offer for $250,000, do you think they'll take it? I know they have to ask the Sellers, right? Every offer that comes through? I don't know.... I'm guessing at this point.
In any case, I'd love to know who buys this piece of heaven, cuz, I'm going to volunteer to be a house-sitter.
