Even though it seems to be going painfully slow, New Hampshire is vaccinating people a great deal faster than the majority of US states. When will you get your shot?

So, you've been wearing your mask and staying inside and standing far away from everyone for almost a year and you're asking yourself 'When will this all end?!'

For me? The light at the end of this long dark tunnel will be with the 'slight pinch' of that sweet, cold RNA coded elixir known as a VACCINE.

And despite all the griping you've heard, New Hampshire is about NINTH in the country as far as per capita immunizations.

One of my favorite places to check on the progress is the official CDC Covid Data Tracker.

A quick check shows that we are just above 3% immunized or 3000 per 100000.

There are several places you can go online to compare New Hampshire with the immunization rates of other States. Pardon the pun, but things are fluid.

Last night, two separate sources had us at 9th in the Country. I just checked NBC News and they have us at 12th overall.

As far as WHEN you will get yours? There are SIX Categories.

1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B.

1A are immediate, Health Care Workers, First Responders and Long Term Care residents.

1B could be as late as March and are 75 years old, medically high risk, IDD facilities and correctional staff.

2A are 65-74 years old and teachers.(By Mid-March)

2B is 50-65 years old. (April)

3A is medically at risk under the age of 50.

3B is everybody else.

Much like when you are in Group 3 in a boarding group for a plane, you're going to have to wait and wait. This group won't see the needle until 'May or beyond'.

I'm hoping my regular check up in late May will coincide with my Doctor having a decent surplus of Vaccines available. I'd love to be able to finally return to Las Vegas by July and the only waiting I'll do then is for my bourbon on the rocks to be delivered. Another sweet, cold elixir!
