After much anticipation, the second Chick-fil-A restaurant to come to Maine has finally broken ground at Westbrook's Rock Row.

Rock Row is the new mixed-use development in Westbrook on the former site of the Blue Rock quarry. The 110 acre development is currently home to the Maine Savings Bank Pavilion concert venue, Market Basket and the future home of New England Cancer Specialists. Several other businesses are under construction including Big Fin Poké, Firehouse Subs and Starbucks while hotels, business offices and residential buildings are planned for the future.

Of all the businesses that have announced that they will be setting up shop at Rock Row, Chick-fil-A has gotten the most buzz as the well know restaurant has only recently come to Maine with its store at the Bangor Mall which opened in 2016.

Chick-fil-A has been met with some opposition as well, after the restaurant chain's chief operating officer publicly stated opposition to same sex marriage.

A Rock Row Instagram post on April 13 shows a backhoe beginning the work on the new Chick-fil-A, but as of right now, there is no date set for the opening, but we think it's a safe bet that by the end of 2021 they'll be ready to go at Rock Row. Stay tuned!
