The Monkees last original TV show was broadcast.They made a total of 58 original episodes.
August 20th, 1980:
John Lennon began recording his final album, 'Double Fantasy'.
August 21st, 2005:
Robert Moog, inventor of the synthesiser died aged 71, four months after being diagnosed with brain cancer.
