Two young waitresses helped a man who they had never met before.

Junction Bowl in Gorham is this really neat restaurant with bowling an arcade, a bar, and good food. They call it Junction Bowl because it's 'where guests become family'. That was proven as a fact on Easter Sunday.

Danika reached out because of what she witnessed while working at Junction Bowl. Two young hostesses (Tasha & Brooke) were working Saturday night. Tasha took a call from someone trying to find a restaurant that delivers food on Easter. This person had a friend who would be all alone on Easter since his wife & son had passed away. Tasha told the caller that Junction Bowl was closed on Easter so their employees could spend the day with their families

But Tasha couldn't let this go. She asked the caller for the man’s address and promised her that even though the restaurant was closed, she would make sure this man had an Easter dinner.

Tasha and Brooke explained the situation to their parents & asked if they could share their Easter dinner. They delivered a nice Easter feast & spent some time with this older gentleman so that he wouldn’t be alone on this holiday. There aren't a lot of young people who would do this, especially for a complete stranger. Danika shared this story because she wanted Tasha and Brooke to be recognized for this selfless act of kindness.

Tasha and Brooke want to encourage anyone who is presented with a situation to make someone's day better - DO IT! This is Tasha with Ed, who could turn out to be a lifelong friend.

Thank you Tasha and Brooke for going above and beyond to help out a total stranger who was going to be alone for Easter. You could have easily said that the restaurant is closed and wished the woman on the phone good luck. But you didn't...you chose to help. That's what it means to be a Mainer.
