UNH Men’s Hockey Coach Signs Three Year Extension

Well, it looks like University of New Hampshire men's hockey coach, Dick Umile, will be with the team for 3 more years.

It is being reported that Umile signed a three year contract extension last month, keeping him with the Wildcats through the 2017-2018 season.

1990 was his first year as head coach at UNH. Since then, the Wildcats have won 7 Hockey East regular season titles, 2 Hockey East Tournament championships, and have reached the National Championship game twice, losing both times.

18 out of 25 seasons UNH has qualified for the NCAA tournament under Umile.

Let's hope UNH and Umile can win a National Championship before his run is over.
