WATCH: Distracted Scooter Driver Plunges Into Sinkhole

Today's 'Stupid News' segment brings us to China, where a man plunges his scooter into a large sinkhole that had opened in the street several minutes earlier. Needless to say, he was a bit distracted by his phone. 

This is one of those rare 'Stupid News' stories that is absolutely perfect. Cartoonishly hilarious, perfectly clear camera footage and positioning AND the victim wasn't seriously hurt!

According to The Daily Courier, the distracted driver climbed out of the hole himself with only minor injuries.

Still, it serves as a great cautionary tale to those who CONTINUE to text while driving. I see it everyday and it isn't getting much better despite new laws.
