A company that puts seasonal playlists together for retailers across the country has revealed the most played Christmas songs for this year. 

Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas" used to hold the top spot for years but has been dethroned in favor of a classic Paul McCartney tune covered by The Shins.

A little bit of a surprise to me. I'm not sure I've ever heard this rendition before to be honest.

Everybody loves Paul McCartney's version, especially Shark nation. When you're roaming the aisles of your local retailer trying to cross people off your Christmas list, see if you can hear which songs are played from the list below.
