It's 4th of July, Hampton Beach parking is manageable, the sand is filled with sun bathers and swimmers, but it isn't really packed, the bars and restaurants are busy, so a typical summer day, right?

Rochelle, my wife, and the kids hit the beach (I stuck to the pool) and stayed for the evening fire works. Judging by the day, it seemed it'd be busy but nothing out of the ordinary.

They were incorrect as post fireworks, a minor fender bender on Ocean Boulevard caused a 60+ minute back up from the beach parking and out off the main strip by the beach!

While I missed this experience, I did meet a friend for lunch in New Castle, and the traffic snaked from the public beach all the way back into Portsmouth in pockets.

So what do you think?

4th of the July weekend or not, where is the worst summer beach traffic on the Seacoast? Hampton? Rye? York? Salisbury? Gloucester? Plum Island?

Thanks in advance for the tips!
