Jason Alexander will direct “The War of the Roses” at the Ogunquit Playhouse this summer.

The man who made a fortune on the 'show about nothing' will be spending a potion of this summer in Maine. According to the Portland Press Herald, Jason Alexander, most famous for playing legendary sidekick George Costanza on Seinfeld will be in the director's chair for a dark comedy about divorce. Opening night for "The War of the Roses" is August 26th.

The play will be a new take on Warren Adler's novel of the same name. In 1989, it was adapted into a movie starring Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner and Danny DeVito. This will not be Alexander's first stint in theater. According the Portland Press Herald, Jason has directed several musicals on the West Coast. He also won a Tony for best leading actor in a musical for his work on “Jerome Robbins’ Broadway” before Seinfeld took off.

Tickets have yet to go on sale, but a Member Pre-Sale will kick off March 11th.
