What sad news we received recently when we heard about Frank Beard, the decades-long drummer for ZZ Top, passed away at the age of 77.  Frank joins Dusty Hill as the two members of the band that have passed.

Billy Gibbons, the only remaining original member of the band will continue to tour.  Here in New Hampshire, we are particularly glad about that because they are scheduled to play the BankNH Pavilion on Saturday, September 5, 2026.

ZZ Top has always been a straight up good time with their music, their videos and as a result, they made us feel good.  There was nothing hugely serious about the band.  These were the guys that you wanted to hang out with after the show was over.

I was happy to find out that I am only one degree of separation between me and Frank Beard.  My friend, Al Silva from the kickass band, Rosie, works at the Drum Center in North Hampton.  He sent me the picture below that says, "The Drum Center - You Got All My Money.  Frank Beard, ZZ Top."  How cool is that?

I have to visit the Drum Center sometime.  Frank Beard is only one of the very famous drummers that have come into the store.  They are located on Route 1 in North Hampton, NH.

Joining ZZ Top in New Hampshire is George Thorogood and the Destroyers

This is going to be a night of dancing until your feet (or your hips!) can't take it anymore.

This show is going to be very special for ZZ Top.  They are going to finish this tour, as I've mentioned, but are they going to tour after this one is over?  Billy Gibbons can do whatever he wants at this point in his career.  Maybe he'll create another band?  Just in case they don't ever come around again, here's how to win your way into the show.
