As if hearing the news about Tom Brady's latest legal setback wasn't bad enough, now the women's football team, The New England Liberty, has cancelled its upcoming game for a very troubling reason.

TOO MANY INJURIES!

Since the Legends Football League plays a seven on seven style game of Arena Football and the current full roster of ladies is only at nineteen, it is easy to see how a few key injuries can cause a cancellation.

I was hoping The Liberty would get a chance to bounce back from their 63 point beat down by the Chicago Bliss back in June.

There aren't any more home games scheduled for this year's season and The N. E. L.'s winless record makes it seem rather doubtful that a Post Season game will happen.

Certainly a rookie season filled with growing pains both literal and figurative.

I've watched women's arena football in Las Vegas and it's a very exciting, fast moving and hard hitting game. I'd love to see this team flourish in Manchester and here's hoping next season will be a successful campaign.

If you bought tickets for the July 23rd game, refunds will be paid both automatically and at point of purchase.
