Robyn James began her love of radio at the age of 6, when her parents pulled her from brain-melting TV, and dropped a reel-to-reel in her lap. She immediately recruited friends to voice parts in McDonald’s commercials. While attending a northern NH high school, she created her own internship at WZPK (the original Peak FM) in ’87, before beginning a colorful scholastic career at Lyndon State College. She continued to travel to North Conway to do live shows on the Peak: Weekends, Nights, Middays, then Afternoon Drive, all while earning an Associates of Science in TV Production, a minor in graphic design, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Communications/ Radio Performance, Scriptwriting and Production. A host of other stations in VT, NH and GA got into the mix with her life’s travels. She also enjoys teaching skiing, ballroom dancing, a number of instruments, and training and fostering dogs (strays of all species, really), martial arts, playing solo or with bands, acting, painting houses and landscaping. For Robyn, nothing is more important than family, returning from living in Atlanta to be close to them, and now, returning to home to the Peak family of radio stations.
