As more and more people shop for digital music online, Best Buy has announced the chain will stop selling CDs as of July 1st.

At one point, Best Buy was the biggest seller of CDs, but according to Engadget.com;

 The chain was only making $40 million per year from the plastic discs -- a drop in the bucket for a retailer this size.

Target stores may soon follow suit and stop carrying CDs as well.

It doesn't seem all that long ago I walked into the best Best Buy in Newington and saw rows and rows of all sorts of CDs.

I know it's a sign of the times, but it's certainly the end of an era.
