Fun Story of Comic Legend Bill Murray Seen Hanging Out in Massachusetts With Bill Murray

Oh, the list of movies that actor Bill Murray has on his resume. He's iconic for his slapstick, as well as deadpan humor in both comedies and dramas. And get this – he was spotted having lunch in Boston at a restaurant that just happened to have artwork hanging on the wall inspired by characters from one of his movies.

You may know Bill from his time as a cast member on Saturday Night Live, as well as Caddyshack, Stripes, Ghostbusters, and Groundhog Day, just to name a few. He was even David Letterman's very first guest on his talk show on NBC in 1981, then in 1993 when it moved to CBS.

Bill later started a long-running collaboration with Wes Anderson in the late 1990s that had him in several quirky dramedies like Rushmore, The Royal Tennenbaums, Moonrise Kingdom, and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. 

It's in that last film I mentioned where Bill stars as an eccentric Jacques Cousteau-esque oceanographer. And that is precisely who's portrayed in the hanging artwork that Bill saw while dining at Select Oyster Bar in Boston.

According to Boston.com, Bill was with friends and got a huge kick out of the art hanging on the wall nearby.

The artist is Ale Giorgini, and he even posted the photo on his own Instagram after learning the screen legend had lunch next to his print. In the post, Ale thanked the restaurant and Chef Michael Serpa, who is seen in the above photo.
