Traip Academy cafeteria service worker Melissa Hasty lost her husband, Michael Daigneault on April 30th. He passed away from complications from fire damage suffered as a teenager. He left a son, Braden

Then on May 11th, there was a fire at the home of school resource officer Jay Durgin in Kittery. There were no injuries in the fire, but the interior of the home is gutted.

According to seacoastonline.com, all proceeds raised will go to Hasty and Durgin.

Local restaurants have stepped in and are providing food for the dinner, including Weathervane, Panera Bread, Beach Pea, Ovington Produce, Dunkin Donuts, Roundabout Restaurant, National Distributors and Terra Cotta Pasta.

Sounds like a tasty event for a great cause!
