Good Locally Grown Choices For ‘Eat Your Vegetables Day’

You wouldn't think there would be all that much to choose from right now as far as locally grown veggies are concerned, but that's because you don't know the right people.

I could have had asparagus, rhubarb, kale or garlic scapes today at my parents garden, but instead I decided 'lettuce' eat some of the good stuff. This black-seeded simpson makes for some high quality salad greens, stuffing it in a tuna sandwich seems almost like a waste, but I did it anyway.

About two more weeks to go and the peas will be ready, then before you know it the garden will be full of great choices and that is the one time of the year when you can find me right in the middle of it!
