The site of the former Hampton Beach McDonald's has been purchased and is expected to become a walk-up seafood restaurant to be called JB's Seafood.

The new menu would include steamers, lobster rolls and landlubber delights including burgers and wraps.

According to seacoastonline, the building was bought by the owners of the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom.

The McDonald's closed earlier this year, and at one time was thought to be one of the only seasonal McDonald's in the country.

JB’s Seafood, is co-owned by Jimmy Trainor of the Boardwalk Inn and Cafe and Bob Schaake, who manages the Hampton House Hotel. JB’s Seafood is planning on opening mid-June.
