Have You Ever Been Fooled By This Bird’s Pity Party Routine? [VIDEO]

I hadn't laid eyes on a Killdeer in quite awhile and I managed to get close to one on the golf course today. I was hoping it would perform it's 'fake broken wing dance' which is very convincing and very entertaining.

They do this to protect their ground nests and I've seen many people fooled into following them for long distances. I love it when an entire group of fairly intelligent people are successfully pranked by a 'bird brain'.

The Killdeer from today's encounter flew off seconds after I took it's picture. Any nest it may have had was far away so there was no floor show to be seen.
