Attorneys for the NFL attorneys and Tom Brady's union-appointed attorney Jeffrey Kessler, together asked U.S. District Court Judge Richard Berman today to issue a “final resolution” in the case before Sept. 4.

In the meantime, the Judge has set a schedule for the 2-sides to adhere to in hopes of a resolution before that date, as all involved want this resolved before the beginning of the season.

A “status/settlement conference” has been scheduled for Aug. 12 and another on Aug. 19. If no settlement is reached by the 19th, there could be oral arguments that day. He wants Brady and Goodell to be present both days.
