(Dover, NH) - One of the most fun nights we have around the Christmas holiday is driving around to see the incredible light displays.

It seems like it was only a few years back when we would put the kids and the dogs in the back seat of the van and spend several hours driving around the area seeing who had outdone all the others in their display. Back then, Agamenticus Estates in South Berwick, Maine had the hands-down winner. It seemed the entire neighborhood was just one huge holiday wonderland.

That neighborhood is still a destination point, but a Dover teenager started a tradition 7 years ago that draws large crowds to his home and also helps a local food pantry.

Luke Dobson created Lukes Lights in 2010, synchronizing his 6-thousand-light display with music. In 2012, he began collecting donations of food for the St. Joseph's Food pantry, garnering 10-thousand pounds of donations over the past 5 years. It is worth a visit.

For myself, I keep things a bit more subdued. My electric bill is high enough already!
