NESN’s Tom Caron on Why The 2018 Pats Team ‘Fails’ in Comparison

I threw a little play on words in this title because TC still thinks The Pats are an elite team. There's just one big difference between this year's team and the many great teams of the past.

You know it's a great take when I break out the block quotes, so, here goes!

They can't just go out there and win. I still think they're one of the best teams in the AFC, I think for sure they make the AFC Championship Game. But you have to play that much harder now because the difference between the Patriots and the rest of the AFC is not as great as it used to be.

When you consider that the AFC is perceived as much weaker than the NFC by many pundits, this criticism may seem a bit harsh.

But after the display the Patriots put on in Tennessee, you can't blame Mr. Caron for this take AT ALL, in fact, I agree with him 100%.
