Uh oh. You never realize how much is affected by The Government Shutdown until it really hits you where you live. Local breweries are already feeling the pain.

According to this WMUR-TV piece, seasonal craft brews CANNOT be transported across state lines without Government approval from The Federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau.

Since the approval process takes more than two months, this already three week delay will certainly put a headlock (attempted beer pun) on the distribution of any new craft brews heading into the Spring season.

Since this is going to affect nearly every local craft brewery, I figured I take this time to heavily promote one of my absolute favorites!

In the photo above you see Sarah, Jodi from Accounting and myself enjoying a Berliner Weisse with raspberry at Stoneface Brewing Co. in Newington. If you haven't been there yet, please go and try this outstanding 'sour' beer.

I'd tried 'sour' beers before and could take 'em or leave 'em but the flavor and drinkability of this is unmatched.

If you can't get it at your local pub because of the shutdown, make the trip! It's worth it!
