Recent Rains Worsen NH’s Historic Drought?

That's it. I'm done. After enduring two rainy days I was fully expecting the NH Drought Monitor to show some relief from our Severe Drought. In turn, it has only worsened.

You will notice that the orange section, the 'SEVERE DROUGHT' area has expanded and crept to the Northwest and is closing in on Manchester.

The more I look at the numbers, the more I wonder if we'll ever see a return to normal conditions in The Granite State. I think I'll stop 'monitor'ing the map and instead start looking for cactus and tumbleweeds in my own backyard.
