Rochester’s ‘Wings & Wheels’ Event Offers Free Flights for Kids

If you have any young pilots in the family be sure to check out the 4th Annual 'Wings & Wheels' event tomorrow at Sky Haven Airport for a free flight!

How cool is that? Kids 8-17 years old can register for a free flight in the terminal building with licensed EAA pilots who have volunteered their services and aircraft. After the flight, you'll be crowned a Young Eagle and receive a certificate.

The event  is hosted by the Rochester Police Department and is a fundraiser for Gerry's Food Pantry. Event organizers are asking that admission be in the form of cash, checks, and/or grocery gift cards.

Flying not your thing? Don't worry the 'Wheels' portion of the event is just as fun.

They'll have a car show, motorcycle show, race car displays, mountain bike stunt show, and a fire truck display.
