( Concord, N.H. ) - Gov. Maggie Hassan has declared New  Hampshire's state of emergency over, following a huge snowstorm  that shut down state government on Tuesday, closed schools and left more than 2 feet of snow in some towns.

Hassan had issued the declaration on Monday, a day before  the storm, which was forecast to reach blizzard conditions along  the Seacoast and in southeastern New Hampshire.

She did not issue  a travel ban.

Snow fell at the rate of 1 to 3 inches an hour in some  areas and was boosted by strong wind gusts. Power outages and accidents were at a minimum.
