Red Tailed Hawk

(Concord, N.H.) – A red-tailed hawk that has made The White House grounds its home now has a name: Lincoln. The name comes courtesy of a group of fourth-graders from the Lincoln Akerman school in North Hampton.

The bill from the 4th graders at Lincoln Akerman School has once again been put on hold.

The Red Tailed Hawk has come under fire recently after some New Hampshire politicians made some disparaging remarks about the majestic bird. I decided it was time to talk to a real one and let the bird clear the air. Thanks to the York Center for Wildlife, I had the pleasure of meeting Ruby and Red, two Red Tailed Hawks...

This morning on The Shark Morning Show, DK and I were talking about The Great American Bald Eagle because of this sad story out of Maine. DK had never heard the actual cry of a bald eagle and if you haven't heard it, well, I think you'll find it surprisingly wimpy. (It cries at :14)
