'Lost in Space' was must-see TV when I was a kid. If I remember correctly, it was aired locally on channel 56 out of Boston in the afternoons.

It was like a 'Swiss Family Robinson' meets outer space. The 5 member family was marooned with a co-pilot, a doctor, and a robot.

It had it's villain, Dr. Smith, and for my pre-pubescent friends, 2 attractive daughters.

The shows initial run was only three years, but they churned out 83 episodes, and they will all be available Tuesday with never before seen footage as well as commentary by some of the shows stars in honor of the shows 50th anniversary.
