Paul and Linda get busted, Pete Best gets fired, and Todd is robbed.
August 10th, 1972:
Paul and Linda McCartney were busted in Sweden for possession of drugs while on tour with Wings. Paul later joked that the arrest would give them "good publicity" for the tour.
August 11th, 1979:
Led Zeppelin played their last ever concert in the UK when they appeared at Knebworth House, England. In a little over a year, drummer John Bonham would be dead at 32.
August 12th, 2000:
While playing an outdoor concert in Mancos, California 38 Special was 1/2 way through their show when a gust of wind took hold of an overhead canopy and brought down ten tons of equipment onto the stage. Thankfully no one was seriously injured, though the drum set was crushed.
August 11th, 1980:
Todd Rundgren is robbed by four masked men who broke into his house. They steal stereo equipment and paintings. It is also alleged that one of the robbers was humming 'I Saw The Light' during the home invasion.
August 14th, 1962:
Unhappy with drummer Pete Best's playing, The Beatles and manager Brian Epstein decide to fire him. Ringo Starr would be asked to join 3 days later.
