Three Dam Good Vacation Photos from Hoover Dam

I was out in Las Vegas last week and only took three photos for the entire six day vacation. As a content provider I should be ashamed, but I feel the quality greatly outweighs the lack of quantity.

As you may know, I have been to Las Vegas 23 times. This trio of photos is from my fourth trip to Hoover Dam. It occurred to me that I never took a picture of the Lake Mead side from the Dam side of the street before. Well, here it is in all its Dam glory. I feel that the blue sky contrasts with the harsh colors of the rocks quite dramatically, but not as dramatically as the double yellow line painted on the street below.

Here is the Arizona side of the Dam. I prefer this side of the Dam because they don't participate in daylight savings and I feel happy when I see that I have an extra hour with which to gamble. Arizona takes it's own Dam time and who can blame them.

This last photo is of my cousin Jake who at age 23 has already been to Vegas 5 times (proof we are related) but had never been to Hoover Dam. He really enjoyed it and this photo of his silhouette captures that fact quite nicely. At the time I took this photo, I had enough of non-gambling nonsense and was ready to hit the Dam road.
