The New Hampshire Department of Transportation has announced that traffic will be affected during the inspection of the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge in Portsmouth, beginning today through Friday and Monday, June 13th if necessary.

The bridge will have lane closures as needed from 8AM to 3:30PM daily for up to six days.

Motorists will be notified by flag persons, electronic message signs and warning signs.

NHDOT is asking people traveling between Portsmouth and Kittery, Maine to use alternate routes if possible to avoid delays. Inspection work may be delayed due to weather.
