UPDATE: Manchester NH Marathon Rightly Awards Wrong Way Runners

This was a big story from this weekend and it's nice to see that the organizers of the Manchester Marathon awarded the two men who lead the race through Mile 24. At this point in the race, there was a turnaround that both men missed and then ran into a dead end way off course.

Kudos to The Manchester Marathon Association for stepping up and awarding these runners a nice sum of cash for their efforts. I was very upset by this story because I can't imagine the disappointment of winning a race for 24 miles only to finish on a dead end street.

It works out to about 52 bucks per mile, which I think if I trained for a month I might be able to pull home about ten bucks with the wind at my back.
