Myrna Arias worked for a wire transfer service called Intermex. She was given a company smartphone to use and she soon realized that phone had an app that allowed her boss to constantly keep track of her movements, whether she was on the clock or not.

Ms. Arias alleges that her boss fired her after she uninstalled the app. She says she doesn't mind being tracked while she's working, but not on her time off.

According to an article on Yahoo.com, when she and some colleagues asked her boss if he could always tell their whereabouts, the boss allegedly:

“admitted that employees would be monitored while off duty and bragged that he knew how fast she was driving at specific moments ever since she had installed the app on her phone.”

Myrna Arias is suing for damages and lost earnings.

I don't want anyone to know my whereabouts even if I'm just going out for a walk. Good luck Myrna, I'm in your corner!
