This sign is going almost the entire distance from the left coast to the right coast. The marquee will be sold Wednesday by Saco River Auction Company in Biddeford, ME.

The sign is 13 foot and was perched on the Hollywood club in the 1980's and 90's. It mostly promoted new wave, punk and grunge artists in it's day. In 2004 it was replaced.

The Whiskey opened for business in 1964 and most of the acts that played there are now members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The list includes The Doors, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen and The Ramones.

What a cool piece of history, and it could be yours!
