So many fond memories of going to the clubs in Boston recently came back when I found out that the building that houses Machine, my favorite nightclub in Boston, was being torn down.  It's located on Boylston Street in Boston, next to the Fenway Gardens and it's a gay bar.  My best friend Brian and I used to go there all the time.  I LOVED it.  The guys weren't interested and if you looked fierce, they'd tell you so.  They'd also tell you if you looked like a hot mess.  It was an honest relationship..... and it was the best club ever.  The music was fantastic too!  Brian and I went so often to Machine that when we bounced down the stairs ready to party, the bartender would be making our drinks before we even go to the bar.  It was such a wonderful experience.  The music was fabulous too, I just loved it.

Machine was also home of many of the Gold Dust Orphan productions.  If you don't know who they are, check out there website here.  They are just beyond......

Anyhoo, I went on my Facebook page and asked other people what club they missed from Bean Town.

5 Boston Nightclubs of the 80's We Wish Were Still Here

Love live those super fun, wild, irresponsible days of our Youth.  May they live forever in our memory.

There are some memories I wished I had forgotten like when I was napping in my car, Brian was in the backseat....  (it happened a lot.....) and a homeless man got IN to my car and wouldn't leave.  He asked me if he could just sleep there for the night.  Damn.  Did I let him?  Hell yes.

Here are 50 of your favorite retail chains that no longer exist.
