The good people at Facebook recently analyzed how the people on Facebook express laughter. What they found was the way users conveyed laughter had a lot to do with age and gender.

In a nut-shell, they found that real younger folks use an emoji to express laughter, while 'haha' and 'hehe' people are a bit younger than 'lol' folks. It's just not cool to be an 'lol' person.

I'm a 'haha' kind of guy, but I bet in 2 months that expression will mean I'm square.

And if you're an 'lmao' person, you've gone the way of the dinosaur.
