All Starbucks In New Hampshire Temporarily Closing May 29th

In light of a recent controversy involving the chain, all Starbucks in the Granite State will be closing on the afternoon of May 29th to conduct racial biased education.

According to their website, this will take place across all of their 8,000 company-owned stores in the United States on the afternoon of May 29th. The training will be provided to nearly 175,000 partners (employees) across the country, and will become part of the onboarding process for new partners. The basis will be "to conduct racial-bias education geared toward preventing discrimination in our stores."

The training is the latest response from Starbucks, which began a few days ago on Twitter.

Many felt the apology did not go far enough. Moving forward, executive chairman Howard Schultz was quoted on their website "The company's founding values are based on humanity and inclusion"We will learn from our mistakes and reaffirm our commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for every customer."

The Curriculum will be designed by nationally recognized experts, and will be available for other companies to use.
