Lori Loughlin is set to be sentenced this Friday, August 21, 2020 at a Boston court for her part in the college admission scandal.   Prosecutors have recommended a 2 month sentencing for her, according to NBCNews.com

If you need a refresher, the college admission scandal basically accuses Lori Loughlan, Felicity Huffman and others of paying to get their kids in to college, rather than having them get in by their own merit.

We took a poll of Shark Nation on our Facebook page and here are some of the results:

  • Cyndi Gagnon Budahn No but she should get substantial community service, hefty fine and suspended sentence. She’ll probably get some supervised release too.
  •  Linda Jarvis Yes she absolutely should.
  • Lori Tacy- LeClair Absolutely!!!
  • Mary Tautkas Yes but 2 months is not long enough. Other kids did not get into schools due to her 2 kids taking the spots. So not far. What she did was illegal so she should do the time. If it was someone not famous or wealthy, we would get the book thrown at us. The same should go for her.
  • Janice McKay O'Brien Yes. She tied up courts and taxpayer dollars too long lying about her crime. I have no sympathy for her or her behavior. Family values ? Ha.
  • Brian Lang No...how many first time offenders never spend time in jail for far worse crimes.
  • Barbara Theodoros King I think the people who took the money at the schools should serve time. They are the ones who profited from this.
  • Ted White Really should get more time, the wealthy and high paid athletes in this country think they are above the law.
  • Joanna Jenney Martha Stewart served time for insider trading, so why not her also?
  • Tom Staples Sr. No go after the real criminals
  • Nancy Quimby Poulin Yes more than 2months

I know I'm in the minority here, but I don't think she should serve time.  Like Brian said in the poll, how many people have done worse crimes and never spent a day in jail?  Something just doesn't seem right with this.
