Boston Red Sox Catcher Jason Varitek Visited Police in Amesbury

Former Boston Red Sox catcher Jason Varitek was in Amesbury, MA on Thursday to visit Officer Cunningham of the Amesbury Police Department, and the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council.

Varitek also thanked officers for the great job they do and for supporting slain Weymouth Weymouth police sergeant Michael Chesna, his family, and the Weymouth Police Department.

Varitek has served as a Special Assistant to the President of Baseball Operations for the Red Sox in recent years, and can be seen around Fenway Park at most home games.

Sadly, number 33 is no longer behind the dish for the Red Sox. But we always have the memories. And this one is my favorite.
