Earlier today, I mentioned how great the Strafford County 'Meals On Wheels' program was to my Aunt Beryl. I feel I need to clarify my statement, as I didn't steal her food.

Ok, so, I didn't eat the food that was provided to her, all that often.

The thing is, they have an amazingly delicious chicken parm that they pair delightfully with many pastas and sauces.

Also, their meatloaf is really good. Really good.

The thing you need to know about my Aunt Beryl was, when she told you she wanted you to do something, you better do it. No ifs, ands or buts about it.

And who was I to deny her the request that I partake in these delicious meals?

The fact that I would go next door to steal a bottle of hot sauce at my parents to add a little zip? That may be a little too much borrowing and stealing for just one meal, but I am who I am.

Sarah and I began this conversation because a woman auctioned off a crocheted Bernie Sanders doll for $20,000 on eBay and eBay MATCHED that donation.

All the profits from this incredibly generous purchase will be given to Meals On Wheels.

I just wanted to emphasize that the foods they deliver to the elderly are of the highest quality and this service is wonderful for those that prefer independence in their own home.

I always joke that my Aunt Beryl lived to almost 98 by consuming nothing but V8 juice and peanut brittle, but that is NOT because I was there scarfing down everything else.
