The UNH Professional Development & Training is hosting the inaugural New Hampshire Craft Brew Conference, a collaboration between the University of New Hampshire and the Granite State Brewers Association, on Nov. 10.

According to a press release the conference features 16 track sessions focusing on the business and technical aspects of brewing, a vendor showcase, and an industry career fair. Industry expert Mitch Steele is the keynote speaker.

Steele is brewmaster, COO and co-founder of New Realm Brewing Co. in Atlanta, Georgia. He has more than 30 years of brewing experience. He is the author of the book “IPA: Brewing Techniques, Recipes and the Evolution of India Pale Ale.” The Brewers Association awarded Steele the prestigious Russell Scherer Award for innovation in craft brewing in 2014.

The NHCBC is aimed at brewing professionals, hobbyists, and brewing entrepreneurs, with special conference topics including sourcing grains/hops, distribution, quality control, licensing/permits, trademarks, integrated marketing, taproom management and many other key aspects of craft brewery startup, sustainability and management.
