Do Not Touch The Monkey in Tewksbury!

Warning:  If you see a monkey running around in Tewksbury, do not touch the monkey!

According to a story from WCVB in Boston,  Tewksbury Police received a phone call from a resident who reported seeing a monkey in their backyard.  Police used ATV's and drones to try to locate the primate, but was unable to do so.

The report goes on to say that the Shawsheen Animal Hospital is warning people not to touch the monkey.  ( I can NOT say that enough....) They warned on their FB page,

Do not touch the monkey,  Monkeys can be dangerous and can carry Herpes B virus, which can be fatal to humans.

If you have seen a monkey running around in the Tewksbury area, or anywhere really.... please call the authorities at 978-851-7373.
