Bruins forward Chris Wagner has chipped in on the brewing process, as the team pushes towards the playoffs.

The Boston Bruins continue to revel in another great season. They've been at, or near the top of the standings all season, and are gearing up for a much-anticipated deep playoff run, hopefully even more. On the heels of 'Damage Done,' and other team-related brews comes 'Don't Poke The Bear. A first of it's kind collaboration between the Harpoon Brewery and Boston Bruins. According to Harpoon's Facebook page, it's a 'black and gold-en ale we brewed with B's hockey player Chris Wagner."

Wagner told Boston.com he was new to the brewing process, and “I think it was more they wanted a local guy.” His roots are in New England, growing up in Walpole, MA and playing youth hockey with the South Shore Kings. Wags' dug in. Working in the Boston brewery, he lifted and put down nine 50-pound bags of grain for a batch.

The Bruins are killing it this season, and as a result, Harpoon says it has quadrupled the original production amount, to 7,000 cases. Starting in mid Feb,  it will be at Harpoon’s beer hall, TD Garden, and surrounding bars and restaurants. Also, it's for a great cause. One dollar from every four-pack sold will be donated to the Corey C. Griffin Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of children through health care. According to Harpoon's Facebook page, it was the charity of Wagner's choice.
