‘Duncan’ From Maine Helps ‘Team Fluff’ Win The Puppy Bowl
A 20 week-old collie from Scarborough is a Puppy Bowl Champion
The New England Patriots may not have been in this year's Super Bowl, but their presence loomed large. From the close-up of Bill Belichick flashing all the rings, to the group shot of Coach, Brady, Gronk, Randy Moss, and Adam Vinatieri, and oh yeah...the now legendary Hulu ad where Brady professes 'I'm not going anywhere.' One could say Brady won the Super Bowl without ever taking the field.
Another Big Game had lots of New England flare. Three dogs from animal shelters in New England took part in the 16th annual Animal Planet Puppy Bowl. While 'Starla' and 'Sadie' hailed from Connecticut, a key member of the 'Team Fluff' tribe was Scarborough, Maine's Duncan. Duncan is a 20-week-old collie from the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland, Maine, who now has a forever home with a family, according to WGME News 13.
Animal Plant says in years past, 100 percent of the puppies and kittens that have participated in the Puppy Bowl have been adopted to loving families.
