I didn't realize how many celebrities are from Maine and New Hampshire, before I moved to New England. I know how dumb that sounds, but it's just something you don't think about when you live on the other side of the U.S.

Last week, I put together a list of the five most famous people from Maine: Major stars such as Anna Kendrick and Patrick Dempsey are from Vacation Land.

Now, let's talk about celebrities from the Granite State:

(1) Adam Sandler: One of the funniest men in Hollywood was born in Brooklyn, but he grew up in Manchester, New Hampshire and attended Central High School, according to NewHampshire.com.
Here's a clip from one of his many movies, "Blended:"

(2) Mandy Moore: The singer turned actress was born in Nashua, New Hampshire. She is currently starring as the character Rebecca in the hit NBC TV show "This Is Us."

(3) Seth Meyers: The Emmy award-winning comedian was born in Evanston, Illinois, but he was raised in Bedford. He graduated from Manchester West High School, as per NewHampshire.com. Seth got his start on "Saturday Night Live." Now, he is the host of "Late Night With Seth Meyers."

(4) Sarah Silverman: This funny lady was born in Bedford, NH. She made national news just recently when she paid the medical bills of a man who called her horrible names on Twitter, according to the NY Daily News. Talk about turning the other cheek.
It is not surprising that Sarah had something to say about the sexual assault/harrassment in the entertainment industry:

(5) Dan Brown: This well-loved author is from Exeter, New Hampshire. According to our sister station in Portsmouth, WOKQ, Dan Brown has kept readers on the edge of their seats with book-turned-movies such as "The Davinci Code" and "Angels & Demons." His new novel is entitled "Origin" and is being vilified by the Catholic Church, according to CBS Sunday Morning.
