This week, Thursday, May 28 and Friday, May 29, the Massachusetts Military Support Foundation in cooperation with 222 Cares, is teaming up with Cardi's Furniture and Mattresses, Route 1 in Seabrook to pass out meal kits for Veterans.  ***Even though this is being done by a Massachusetts group, it is open and available for ALL veterans, no matter where they live, they are invited to register and pick up food.

The Massachusetts Military Support Foundation's mission is to provide 50,000 essential food kits to Veterans in New England that have been impacted by COVID-19 and may not have access to food.  Each kit that they will pass out this week will contain 2 weeks worth of food, based on the number of people in the family.

222 Cares provides assistance to Veterans and their families who are suffering through PTSD or addiction or a combination of both and they help them to heal through difficult times.

If you are a veteran or a Military Family and in need of food, you do need to fill out a form here, then you will receive an email back with specific instructions for pick up.

The event will be held at Cardi's Furniture and Mattresses, Route 1 in Seabrook on Thursday and Friday, this week, May 28 & 29, 2020, from 10a to 1pm.  The Shark works with Cardi's and they are just amazing people and this event just reinforces that.

There is nothing worse than not being able to provide for your family, especially if you are a member of the Military.  My Dad was in the Army, some of my best friends are in the Coast Guard and the Marines.  They are the most noble, proud people I know and It is hard for them to ask for help.  Organizations like the ones above make it easier for them to ask.  It's really inspiring!
